Our ideal volunteer would be interested in working with clients with communication impairments such as aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, and cognitive-communication disorders.
University students interested in pursuing a career in Speech-Language Pathology can get invaluable experience working with clients that are living with the disorders taught in Speech-Language Pathology Masters programs.
General communication partner training provided to volunteers.
When clients and volunteers are matched, consideration is given to the amount of volunteer time available as well as the city location
Volunteer and client can meet in the community or at the PARS office.
